Getting Started

RunOctopus builds a complete content engine for your e-commerce store — SEO Guides, collection pages, tools, and guided buyer paths — and installs them directly on your Shopify or WooCommerce store. Otto, your AI content strategist, researches your niche, writes expert-level content targeting real keywords your customers search, and keeps producing new content every month. The goal: free organic traffic that replaces your ad spend.
About 2-3 minutes. Otto researches your niche, maps your content architecture, writes articles and collection pages, and builds a custom tool — all in one session. You can watch the progress or chat with Otto while he works.
Just three things: what you sell (your niche), your store platform (Shopify or WooCommerce), and your store URL. That's the entire setup. Otto handles everything else.
Otto writes niche-specific, expert-level content — not generic filler. Each article targets real long-tail keywords your customers search, uses specific details about your product Topic, and is structured for SEO with proper headings, The Web, and meta data. The tools use real, research-accurate data. Preview everything before it goes live on your store.

Connecting Your Store

Click "Connect Store" in your dashboard, enter your Shopify store URL, and click Connect. Shopify will show you a permission screen — click "Install" and you're connected. One click. Otto gets read/write access to your blog and theme files only — he can't touch your products, orders, or customer data.
Otto requests access to: read and write blog Guides (to publish your content), read and write theme files (to install your content hub and tools), and read products (so Otto can reference your real products in articles). He does not access your orders, customers, financials, or anything else.
WooCommerce support is coming soon. Right now Otto generates your content and you can download all files to install manually on any platform. The automatic install integration is Shopify-first, with WooCommerce next.
No. Connecting your store gives Otto access but he doesn't change anything until you explicitly click "Install." Even then, Otto only adds new Guides and theme sections — he never modifies or removes your existing content, pages, or theme design.

Content & SEO

At launch, Otto builds 8+ articles and 6+ collection pages targeting your niche's most important keywords. On the Launch plan, Otto writes 100 new articles per month. Scale gets 250/month. Authority gets unlimited. Every article targets a real keyword with real search volume.
Google typically indexes new content within 1-2 weeks. You'll see your first impressions in your search data around that time. Actual clicks and traffic usually start week 2-4. SEO compounds — month 3 is better than month 1, month 6 is significantly better than month 3. Most stores see meaningful organic traffic within 60 days.
Yes. You can preview everything before it's installed. Once installed on Shopify, the articles are regular Guides you can edit in your Shopify admin like any other content. You can also ask Otto to rewrite or improve any article through the chat.
Otto builds a custom tool specific to your niche — a product finder quiz, a calculator, a size guide, or a recommendation engine. For example, a reptile store gets a feeding schedule builder, a coffee store gets a brew ratio calculator. These tools keep visitors on your site 4x longer and drive them toward your products.
Otto adds to your existing content — he never removes or overwrites anything. Your existing Guides stay exactly as they are. Otto creates new articles that complement what you already have and links everything together into a coherent content strategy.

Billing & Plans

Otto builds your entire content engine for free. You get 7 days to preview everything, install it on your store, and see it working. If you don't love it, Otto removes everything cleanly. No card required, no commitment, no catch.
Yes. No contracts, no annual commitments. Cancel in one click from your Billing page. Your content stays on your store after cancellation — Otto just stops writing new articles and monitoring your rankings.
Your published articles and collection pages stay on your store — they're regular Shopify Guides. The tools will stop working since they're served through RunOctopus. Otto stops writing new content and monitoring your rankings. Your existing content continues to rank.

Otto & Chat

Otto can: write new Guides on any topic, rewrite existing Guides, suggest content ideas based on keyword gaps, generate social media posts from your Guides, explain your SEO strategy, analyze your content, and answer questions about your store's content engine. He knows your niche, your products, and your existing content.

Technical

Yes. Otto installs content as standard Shopify Guides and theme sections. It works with Dawn, Minimog, Debut, and any other theme. Your store's design stays exactly the same — Otto just adds content pages.
Yes. RunOctopus uses Shopify's official OAuth for authentication — we never see your Shopify password. Your API tokens are encrypted in our database. We only access the specific Shopify scopes you authorize (blog content and theme files). We don't access your orders, customers, or financial data.
Yes. Click "Download Files" in your dashboard to get everything: Liquid theme sections, article content, collection pages, tool HTML, and a step-by-step install guide. You own your content — download it anytime.
